Because of Covid 19, 2020 has been an unusual year! Our club's 92 year tradition of honoring a Distinguished Service Award recipient for exemplary community service to the Sioux Empire will continue however. Unfortunately we have decided, for safety considerations and particularly in deference to our past recipients, to not have an awards banquet in 2020. Instead, we will honor two recipients at a 2021 banquet.
We are proud to announce that our recipient of the 2020 Distinguished Service Award is Jim Clark, founder and director of SculptureWalk Sioux Falls. Most would easily recognize Jim from and for the extraordinary contribution SculptureWalk has made to the "visual arts" environment and atmosphere of downtown Sioux Falls, especially with the recent addition of the Arc of Dreams. While significant in itself, that's only part of the Jim Clark story of service to our community. More will be shared later and surely at our 2021 DSA Banquet but please join Cosmopolitans everywhere in recognizing Jim for this award and thanking him for his extraordinary community service!
