Distinguished Service Award Banquet 2021On October 28, 2021 at The Country Club of Sioux Falls, we recognized two DSA recipients since due to Covid, we were unable to hold a banquet last year. Our recipients: for 2020, Jim Clark and for 2021, Bob Thimjon!

Cosmopolitan International Convention in Sioux Falls!Our Sioux Falls Noon Club hosted the 2021 Cosmopolitan International Convention, perhaps the 3rd time in the 100+ year history of Cosmopolitan that we have done so! Coming off a restrictive, Covid year, we were privileged and proud to host, showcase our great city, and reconnect with old and new Cosmo friends!

Governor's CI ProclamationWe're excited to report that Governor Kristi Noem has proclaimed Nov. 7, 2020 to be Cosmopolitan International Day in South Dakota. This proclamation was pursued in response to CI President Art Brassard's request for all Cosmopolitan clubs to raise local awareness about CI and its focus on Diabetes. CORONAVIRUS AND CLUB MEETINGSWE'RE MEETING AGAIN! Our Club's Board of Directors has decided that we will begin in person meetings on March 1, 2021. We are meeting at the SOUTH DAKOTA MILITARY HERITAGE ALLIANCE at 1600 W. Russell St. (across from the Sheraton). BE SAFE AND BE WELL and when you feel comfortable, come back to Club! You can always check out the Pollywog for meeting notes and upcoming programs.

"Smooch a Pooch" is now "Paws Saving Lives"For easy understanding and branding purposes, the "Smooch a Pooch" program is now known as the "Paws Saving Lives" program. This program is being led by CI's Rick Swansboro from Rockford, Illinois.
